Ramsey’s Draft Trip

On the weekend of August 20^th and 21^st, our scout troop went on a camping trip to Ramsey’s Draft.  Mr. Eckman, Mr. Steele, Mr. Baylor, Emmett, Charlie, and Ryan attended.  We hiked 3 miles from the Confederate battlements to halfway down Jerry’s Run.  After setting up camp, Mr. Baylor took Emmett, Charlie, and I all the way to Ramsey’s Draft.  At Ramsey’s Draft, we caught crayfish and brown trout, but then we put them back in the river.  We also cleaned up the campsite and removed trash that we found.  Emmett completed a requirement for second class.  The next day we patrolled the campsite and then hiked out.
